STATISTICS

In 1990, Russians made up 90% of the 137,400 visitors. By 1995, the percentage had dropped to 26% due to the decrease in business visits. In 1997 most business visits were from China and Russia whereas leisure visitors were predominantly from Japan, Germany, France, UK and USA. The number of leisure tourists visiting Mongolia has increased almost every year.
