The
dance with masks originated in Mongolia by the influences of India
and Tibet. In V Dalai Lamha of Tibet Luvsanjamts /1617-1682/ created
the produce of the dance. In the end of XVIII century and the beginning
of the XIX Buddhans religion reached the top of the development.
Since 1811 to 1937 Khuree tsam was danced annually according to
its produce.
500 of the 700 temples had its own dance performance. The dance
enriched by Mongolian ethnography and traditions.
- Ikh Khuree tsam was performed every year on 29 of the last month
of summer in the capital city Ikh Khuree.
- Mandshirns tsam was performed the same day.
- Dashchoinkhorns tsam on 29 of the last month of autumn.
- As on 29 of the second month of winter Erleg Nomun Khan Damdinchoijoo
was born, tsam was performed at this day.
- After Noyon Khytagt Danzanravjaa had seen Khuree tsam he let some
people dance tsam in his theater.
Mongolian tsam dance was enriched particularly by ethnography and
traditions as a perfection of intellect, skilful art and preaching
power of our nations. Also there is a fact that Khuree tsam was
performed 2 days on 8,9 of last month of summer according to lunar
calendar.
Khuree tsam had 2 items as large tsam (Takhil tsam) and little tsam
(Jakhar tsam)
The masks, clothes, means, musical instruments were decorated with
gold, silver and other precious stones. Many of them had been kept
until present time. They are outstanding creature of cultural heritage.
The Khuree tsamns performance is a creation of all kinds of the
art such as folk music, handicraft , engravation, sculpture, embroidery,
dance, religious traditions and others.
It's one of the outstanding creature by Mongolians in the world
culture.
