The dance with masks recovering again

Traditional art particularly the art of Mongolian tsam dance began to attain people in the result of increasing domestic people and tourist attracts and open policy of culture and art however not by religious traditional way but by a drama form of dance.

The company  "Bi-Bid" in Mongolia is making these Tsam masks again, after it had stopped for more than half mellenium.






In the beginning of 1990 Mongol tsam documentary was released on the basic of works kept in museum and since 1989 tsam masks, clothes and means began to be made by Juulchinn companyns order. Also at the time "Tumen Ekhn" ensemble began to perform tsam dance not only in Mongolia but abroad. The clothes, masks and means are made by D. Batbold, N. Gankhuyag, Ulaankhuu and Kh. Buuveibaatar under the advise of lamha Danzan and Sereeter and also according to the notes of Chamban Darambarar and Tsend who were dancing tsam by Boghdo n s command.
After that NTemuujinn ensemble, National ensemble of folk song and Dance, Jamukha ensemble and Mandshir monastery of Tuv aimag have began to create masks and clothes and perform.

Since the end of 1990 tsam began to be performed in monasteries.
15-04-1999 Ikh Khuree tsam was performed. Since then Khuree tsam is being performed annually according to religious habits and tradition. For creating work of Khuree tsam masks and clothes khamba Danzan, gesgui Sereeter and other lamhas and artists of Duinkhar Datsan participated actively.

Art of Mongolian tsam dance takes his place already in propagandizing and spreading burkhan n s religion not only in Mongolia but in the world level.
For instance, there are some new clothes, masks and means of tsam are now in churches and temples in Vevey of Switzerland, Lago Majora of Italy and Utah of America in museum of Jenev, Tsurih of Switzerland and Binch and Anterpin of Belgium. Also our Mongolian tsam dancers and tsam creative participate in festivals and art and culture activities in German, France, Austria, India, Japan and America.
