| ORGANIZATION |
| The
center was established in March 1992 as a tripartite /Employers
Associations, Trade Unions and Academia/, non-for-profit organization.
In the 1994 Ministry of Justice officially registered NPDC as
a non-governmental agency. NPDC has morethan 100 members from
industries, labor, academic circles, individuals and professionals.

| OBJECTIVES |
1.
Continuous improvement of Productivity and Quality through building
corporate and work culture in economic entities and organizations,
human resource development and spearheading the national productivity
and quality campaign.
2. To upgrade the work force and management
by employing human potentiality to its fullest and stimulate
interest in productivity and quality enhancement.
3. To act as a nodal point for participating
in international cooperation in the field of productivity improvement. |
| FINANCE |
| The
NPDC receives annual financial support on a project basis from
the government. Basic revenues come from contributions, membership
fees and fees from services rendered and projects implemented. |
| ACTIVITIES |
For
accomplishing its mission to raise productivity and create the
foundation for achieving self-sustaining economy by the year
of 2010, NPDC develops, adapts, installs and institutionalizes
productivity and quality improvement technologies for its clients.
The NPDC's activities are conducted through the following areas:
1. Integrated Productivity and Quality Improvement.
NPDC promotes IPQI projects in its client organizations via
disseminating productivity and quality improvement techniques,
providing training and assistance programs.
2. Technical Expert Services and Quality Assurance
Programs. NPDC is providing Linkages between domestic and overseas
institutions by technical expert services and quality assurance
programs. It is now in the process of Assisting local enterprises
to obtain the ISO-9000 and 14000 series certificates from internationally
recognized institutions.
3. Industrial and Economic Engineering. For promoting
basic and advanced techniques in national industries, NPDC is
conducting seminars and training courses, disseminating information
through its own periodical "Productivity news" and guiding dissertations
and students diploma works for raising the skills of national
industrial specialists.
4. Small and Medium Industries Development. NPDC
undertakes the measures of promoting nascent small and medium
industries development, as a crucial aspect of the national
economy. On the basis of existing conditions it provides assistance
to companies for achieving a total approach to productivity
improvement, encompassing both the human and non-human aspects
of productivity.
5. Development Studies and Economic Forecasting.
NPDC is undertaking to study the level of productivity and quality,
to identify and determine the problem areas and appropriate
techniques for solving them and to offer recommendations and
methods suitable for specific conditions.
6. Computer Networking and Trunk Radio Communication
NPDC helps companies and organizations in office automation
and trunk radio networking. |
