
The Mongolian Youth Development Centre was established in 1997 and is a Non-Governmental Organisation working to assist Mongolian youth by providing social, educational, cultural and physical activities and opportunities.
The aims and objectives of the MYDC are as follows:
Youth and Volunteer Network

To organise and manage a youth centre and other facilities for the use, benefit and activities of young people.

To assist in the development of a youth leader network.
·
To organise activities and provide help for at-risk youth, thus acting as
a support network.
·
To provide professional informal education that allows young people to
learn a trade.
·
To provide an International educational travel and study forum for both
Mongolian and foreign students.
·
To provide environmental education and activities for young people.
·
To act as a civic leader in preventive measures against social problems
such as drugs, alcohol, and teenage sex, by heightening public awareness via
discussions, public service announcements, and handouts.
·
To provide family planning and sexual education, workshops, and handouts
for public information.
·
To co-operate with government organisations and NGOs to develop and
facilitate a viable policy for youth.
The MYDC have initiated a series
of activities, projects and programmes to implement these objectives. These are
as follows:
