GREETINGS FROM THE
CHAIRPERSON OF THE FUND
|
| Sh.Tsevelmaa,
The First Lady of Mongolia, Chairperson of the Mongolian Women's
Fund |
|
Mongolian women's development is inseparably related
with social development. Difficulties and problems of the recent
years of transition to a market economy have had considerable negative
impacts on livelihoods of women, especially of those in hard living
conditions. However, I do believe that initiatives and co-operation
of women's organizations and groups will lead to positive and successful
outcomes. I have started working as the Chairperson of the Mongolian
Women's Fund from 2004. I like very much the fact that the work
of the Mongolian Women's Fund was encouraging and motivating women. |
| Therefore, I have made an irrevocable decision
to contribute to the best of my abilities in this work for the good
of the society and I am happy to work shoulder to shoulder with
hundreds of my foreign and Mongolian friends. We believe that you
will support our work and co-operate with us. |

DIRECTOR'S GREETINGS
|
| N.Chinchuluun, Director
and Founder |
 |
Mongolian Women's Fund has been the third
year of its development. Our goals and programmes have been expanding
each year. First of all, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude
on behalf of my colleagues to D.Purevsuren, the first Executive
Director, who played a major role in this work. In 2003, MWF's work
was focused on many important issues including activities against
sexual harassment in the workplace and measures aimed at improving
the business skills of women and introducing new technologies in
production of milk products and manufacturing handicrafts using
traditional methods. Moreover, we started wor king in new
fields such as increasing the household income of disabled children,
out-of-work mothers, ensuring reproductive rights of women who work
outside in all four seasons of the year and contributing to reduction
of environmental pollution. The priority objectives of all MWF members
for the year 2004 will be to increase the number of donors and grantees
and to spread philanthropic views in the society. Finally, I would
like to thank sincerely all our donors, the Governing Board, Executive
staff and volunteers. |
