INTRODUCTION
Mongolian Women's Fund /MWF/ is non-profit, non-partisan, serve for society was established by the initiative group
of women's human rights activists and lawyers on July 5 2000.

Mission:

To contribute for the establishment of democratic, equal, justice society through the financial support to the Mongolian Women and women's group's active participation into the political, economic and social, cultural life.
Goals:

      · Help to the promotion of sustainable development of Mongolian women's movement,   
           Contribute to the following activities of Women's NGO, urban women's groups:
                 - Strengthen
                - Develop human resource
                - Strengthen the financial capacity

       *Contribute to the promotion of gender equality and women's human rights
         Support the following activities:
                - Activities against the women's discrimination
                - Activities on the reducing and elimination violence against women
                - Initiatives which is focused on the improvement of women's human right's education
                - Undertaking women's health, reproductive rights
                - Activities on the protection of environment and establishment of healthy and safe environment

         Support women's employment, introduce technology innovation Support the following activities:
                - Support the initiatives related to the women's employment
                - Create job field for the vulnerable women
                - Trainings on the education of women in the new technique and technology
                - To let be aware of the creation of women as internationally

          Assist to the development of vulnerable group of women and urban women
                - Activities on the promotion of urban women's human rights
                - Initiatives based on the cooperation to focus on the enhancement of livelihood and financial  independent
of urban women
                - Proposal for the creation of new job field
                - Help to the improvement livelihood of poor, single headed mother with the many children

          Increase the women's participation into the decision making level
                - Activities on the participation of women to the political and decision making position
                - Support the activities to let voter's choose decision with the gender sensitivity

Programm

          · Fundraising Implement various program in order to raising financial resource through the support initiatives of
Mongolian women.
          · Grantmaking Select the proposals from the women's organization, call for thematic proposals competition, provide
necessary assistance to the individuals, grant for the expenses of small trip
          · Strengthening capacity building
             - Organize various activities including public education on the philanthropy, women's rights and public
awareness of MONES activities
              - Expand activities on the cooperation with the international and local organization, strength the financial
and materialistic capacity and develop human resource

We have 20 active volunteer representatives in the Ulaanbaatar
   · MONES organized training on the philanthropy and women's issue and over 300 hundred people enrolled since last
couple of years
   · Volunteer members fundraised 400 000 Tg
   · G.Ganchuluun was selected as the best volunteer member of 2002. She donated 200 000 Tg to the Mongolian
     Women's Fund through her income which she sold her handwork by the support of Mongolian Women's Fund.

Manual published for the volunteers
     We published manual as titled as "Volunteers in Social Development" for our volunteer members by the support
of Mongolian Open Society in 500 copies, by the support of the UNV in 1000 copies. The manual is plain and include
about the volunteering, world volunteer's activities in detail. This manual was dedicated not only for the volunteer of
the MONES but also for the volunteers who will be worked any organization.
