In September 29, 1990 The Mongolian Employers' Federation was established as a self-financed and non governmental
     organisation of voluntarily affiliated employers.

Mongolian Employers' Federation is nationwide employers' organisation with branches in 21 aimags (provinces) working in
    Mongolia which is a collective voice to express their opinions and positions before government.

At the beginning MONEF had 35 members and MONEF's membership consists of more than 7800 businesses of various
     types.

The MONEF became the member of IEO in 1998 and closely cooperates with ILO since 1993.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to create favourable business environment through representing the members and working with the Governmental instituions, to provide various types of asistance in order to increase the competitiveness and effectiveness of business entities to develop and pursue own policy on enhancing the role of privatesector in economic development of the country.

Representing the members at the macro-level

On behalf of the members, MONEF advocates their interests to the Government, Parliament, the trade union, political parties, other national interest groups in the form of recommendation, opinions, resolutions and press releases during the formulation of labour law and policy and at other times of social decision making.

Our participation in Tripartite mechanism

The MONEF participates in various national bodies concerned with a wide range of social policy issues in such areas as industrial relations, education and training, safety and health, social welfare and the labour market.

Organisation

The MONEF highest authority is its General Assembly, which meets once in 4 years.
It approves the programme of action and annual budget, elects  a President and a Governing Body.
MONEF Governing Body is made up of the President and 25 Directors.
The executive director is responsible for the daily activities of the federation.
