1. Organized First National Conference of demographers in 1997. Worked out recommendations and distributed to all provinces of Mongolia.
2. Conducted workshop and training on "Population and Development" in 8 provinces.
3. Formulated research projects "Population and Development" within the framework of project MON/97/P11 implemented in cooperation with United Nations Population Fund.
4. Organized 2 workshops for training of researchers for the project "Population and Development"
5. By initiatives of demographer and people of other professions from several provinces completed preparation works for setting branch offices of the Association in those provinces.
6. The Association successfully cooperated with UNDP in writing "Human Development Report of Mongolia 1997" and currently working on "Human Development Report of Mongolia 1999"
