Activities

    The Foundation promotes the following activities to develop education in Mongolia. 

• Conducting, organizing and financing fundamental and applied educational research on problems of formal and non-formal education.

• Undertaking trainings and workshops on certain problems of civic, family education for children and the youth within the framework of non-formal education.

• Promoting educational services to meet educational needs of adults, to provide professional skills programmes for the unemployed youth and the aged.

• Publishing books, broshures, newspapers and magazines on actual problems of educational development.

• Working in close cooperation with international and humanistic organisations, implementing projects to promote education for democracy, humanism and internationalism.

• Education for Development Foundation organized intermediary service for students to study in Universities of Russian Federation and conducted training courses for local educational administrators in 1995. In 1996 Training courses will be offered for School administrators of all levels from 8 aimags to improve their management skills. We will organise intermediary services for students from Mongolia to study in East Asia and the Pacific.

• Beginning 1996 we intend to set up Non-formal education centre to provide the youth and children with family education trainings seeking an assistance from foreign donor and sponsor agencies. Furthermore family education aspects will be included into shcool curriculum and appropriate learning resources including teacher training, textbook, manuals needs to be provided througt our effords.
