The book “Social
work” (handbook) was published. In 2002 the conference on
topic “Effort of society in the social work” where the slogan to cooperate
in the field of social work was declared and therefore the activities
of implementing it are being conducted. Research
A survey was conducted by DaMoST in cooperation with scholars and
experts in current state of social work in Mongolia, its needs and
requirements. Results of this survey will be made public and available
soon. Textbook
and learning materials
A textbook “Social work” was published in 2003. This was a co-work
of Mongolian and Danish authors, a summary of results of implementing
social work theory and methodology under Mongolian conditions. DaMoST
produced a manual, documentary film, brochure and posters for advocating
“Human Development Report Mongolia 2003”.
Advocacy
activity
Advocacy work on perception of vulnerable groups and changing people’s
attitude towards vulnerable groups is being done by DaMoST in educational
sector. In this respect a documentary film on lives of street children
was produced and presented to the public. A conference “Public efforts
in social work” was organized with attendants from Government, public
and NGOs. The conference released a press release and a petition
to Government, public and NGOs.
A Conference in advocacy of “Human Development Report Mongolia 2003”
was held in cooperation with UNDP Mongolia, recently.
